Winnebago Towables has increased its market share in both travel trailer and fifth wheel sales for the month of August and the first eight months of the calendar year, according to a report from Statistical Surveys, Inc (SSI).

SSI reports that Winnebago travel trailer and fifth wheel retail registrations rose 30.2% through the first eight months of the year and 53% for the month of August. The industry as a while also saw growth with a 16.6% increase through the year and 9.6% in August.

“We are extremely pleased with the market share increases in both our travel trailer and fifth wheel products,” said Johnny Hernandez, President of Winnebago Towables. “We have worked very hard to develop towables products that live up to the iconic Winnebago brand in features, value and quality. We believe that the truest measure of success is market share and the August results show we are achieving our goal.”

“August was a month we started to really see the results of new products we added earlier this year. All of our products have seen year over year increases in shipments but we don’t focus on shipments as much as we do dealer retail turn and ultimately market share,” said Brion Brady, National Sales Manager for the Towable group. “The Statistical Surveys report for August validates our internal data that has indicated significant increases for both our travel trailer and fifth wheel products.”
